I saw the headline in a news report. It was made by an Arab resident of Gaza. He also said he supports the Hamas resistance to Israel. This illustrates the problems with achieving peace between Gaza and Israel. .Each side sees itself as being attacked b a terrorist enemy. They both see themselves as 100% justified in any and all attacks on their enemy.
As the Gazan said when you are attacked do you just watch or fight back. Most would want to fight back but then the issue arises of how to fight back. Israel's usual response is to use overwhelming military power to try to destroy the attacker. The main Hamas response is to fire rockets at Israeli cities.
These attitudes lead to repeated attacks against each other and occasional wars. In these the majority of the ones killed are civilians.m This leads to more hatred, more propaganda, more demonizing the enemy as sub human.
The problem is Israel exists on land Hamas claims as part of Palestine. Israel is not going to pack up en masse and move to Brazil or Madagascar. Israel is the most powerful military power in the region. For at least another generation the Arabs cannot defeat them.
There man be no solution to this issue for another 50 years.
